The WARRANTY on Sunfire products IS VALID to the original purchaser for the full warranty period, provided the new product was originally purchased from an AUTHORIZED SUNFIRE DEALER. The original bill-of-sale or proof-of-purchase may be required. If you do not have possession of these documents, please call Sunfire Customer Service (859)514-8290 (EST), to check if your unit qualifies for warranty service.
Sunfire is aware that some internet purveyors and other un-authorized dealers have been obtaining the Sunfire brand illegally. We would encourage you NOT to support this illegal activity, but rather seek out and patronize an Authorized Sunfire Dealer only.
The illegal activity extends to the removal, replacement, and falsification of factory serial numbers. This is a Federal offense under the criminal code. A false or missing serial number immediately VOIDS THE FACTORY WARRANTY.
Sunfire's policy to sell products only through authorized retailers and custom installers is to ensure that consumers get the highest possible pre-sale and after-sale service and support. Sunfire qualifies Authorized Dealers to make sure they meet certain standards of conduct and professionalism. We would appreciate your agreement and support of this policy.
Why the fuss? There are a small number of non-authorized dealers which have come to our attention for their ability to acquire our products through surreptitious means and then resell them to unsuspecting customers. These products may be used, discontinued, stolen, or even counterfeit. It's not unusual for such dealers to deny responsibility for service problems or support issues.
